Yovimpa Point: Bryce Canyon National Park, September 2001 When we arrived at the park, we first visited the Visitor Center and then drove to the end of the main park road. At the end of the road are two lookout areas, Yovimpa and Rainbow Points. We got our first view of the hoodoos for which Bryce Canyon is famous at Yovimpa Point. (via Robby Edwards’ Photos)

Resting: Bryce Canyon National Park, September 2001 And here I am resting on a bench at Bryce, when we finally arrived at Bryce Canyon. (via Robby Edwards’ Photos)
Cinder Cone: Bryce Canyon National Park, September 2001 During the summer of 2001, Rachelle and I took a vacation to visit National Parks and Monuments in Utah and Arizona. We flew into Las Vegas and then drove to Cedar City, Utah. The next morning we drove to Bryce Canyon National Park. During our drive, we passed a cinder cone and lava flow. We considered walking out to it, but eventually decided against it. The cinder cone is the mound on the left side of the picture and the lava flow extends from the cone to the right side of the photo (see the notes on the photo). (via Robby Edwards’ Photos)

Blueish Waters: Waterton Lakes National Park, August 2006 The grand scenery surrounding Upper Waterton Lake. Unfortunately, the sun was awfully high during our visit. How I wish I could have been here for a sunrise or sunset. (via Robby Edwards’ Photos)
