Jordan Pond Under a Stormy Sky: Acadia National Park, August 2007 Taken on our first day and visit to Jordan Pond. We had originally planned to hike on some of the Carriage Roads around the Jordan Pond area, but because it looked like the weather was getting worse, we decided to wait for better weather before we took Emily out for a stroll. At first it looked like the rain might hold off, and so we were regretting our decision to stay in the car. But once the skies opened up and the rain began to pour down, we knew we had made the right choice. Plus the next day, we did do some hiking around Jordan Pond, and the weather was excellent, so in the end it worked out for the best. (via Photos from Robby Edwards)

Fog Rolls In: Acadia National Park, August 2007 After the rain cleared out and the sun started shining, we decided to take a hike. We started out at Sand Beach and hiked to Great Head, where we watched as the fog rolled into Frenchman Bay. By the time I took this shot, the fog had totally covered Egg Rock, a small island with a lighthouse on it. (via Photos from Robby Edwards)
