Lady Liberty: New York, July 2001 In July of 2001, Rachelle and I visited her brother and his wife in New York. One highlight of our visit was the opportunity to take a harbor tour around Manhattan. Along the way, we were treated to magnificent views of the Statue of Liberty. (via Robby Edwards’ Photos)

The Trail Goes Down: Bryce Canyon National Park, September 2001 Rachelle and I decided to hike a little ways down the Queens Garden Trail from Sunrise Point into Bryce Amphitheater. Before we knew it we had gone all the way down into the canyon. Since it was relatively flat at the bottom and we were going to have to hike back out anyways, we decided to hike around the Amphitheater and climb back up on the Navajo Loop Trail at Sunset Point and return to our starting point via the Rim Trail.
